Hi All,
In just under 2 months Anne and I have sold almost all the ads for our new map and it’s going to look great. We are hoping to send all the information to Key Maps next week to get it printed. We do have 7 ad spaces left to sell, if you are interested you need to let me know ASAP.
This is a great opportunity to promote your business and keep it in the public eye.
We have 2 sizes available, the large ad (3 ¼” x 3 7/8”) for $600.00 or the small ad (3 ¼” x 2 5/8”) for $400.00. The map will be in the center and the ads will border the entire map, so when someone is looking for a certain area on the map they are going to be seeing your business ad as well. This is a good way to spend your advertising dollars as this map has a life expectancy of about 2 years and we are having 15, 000 printed.

In an effort to improve the overall economic/educational level of the area, the Magnolia Area Chamber of Commerce provides several different scholarships to deserving students. Three are given to graduating high school senior students who live within Magnolia ISD boundaries. Three others are awarded to winners in the Miss Magnolia Pageant. One is given to an adult MISD resident to begin or continue college courses.
The Board of Directors has now approved a $200 scholarship for an individual living within Precinct 5 or Magnolia ISD who did not graduate from high school but wishes to improve his/her economic and educational standing by obtaining a GED. That certification will help that individual qualify for college or technical training and obtain a higher level occupation.
The scholarship funding will cover the cost of the GED prep course, materials, and the cost of the examination for certification.
Those interested in applying for the scholarship should contact the Magnolia Area Chamber by calling 281-356-1488 or emailing info@magnoliatexas.org. All applications must be in the Chamber office by Friday, June 30, at 3:00 PM.
